Where last month the PlayStation games were connected by the joint zombie theme, this month a different connection can be found if we’re being creative. Since yesterday 4th of May, the new games of the month can be found in the PlayStation Store. There is a wide variety of games this month.
First of three is the game is Wreckfest: Drive Hard, Die Last which is unfortunately only available for PlayStation 5. Even though the game can be bought on the PlayStation 4 for €29.99 it’s not futured as a PS Plus game on the 8th generation console.
‘’ Experience crazy crashes, neck-and-neck fights to the finish line and all-new ways to break metal. These are unique moments that can only be experienced in Wreckfest, thanks to the very truthful simulation of physics by the legendary developer Bugbear – known for FlatOut 1 & 2! Burn rubber and scratch metal in the ultimate car playground!’’ Wreckfest: Drive Hard, Die Last is a single player game which can be played with up to 16 players online.
The second game that is free this month is Stranded Deep | PS4. ‘’Test your survival skills in this open world adventure. In the aftermath of a mysterious plane crash, you are stranded in the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean. Alone, without any means to call for help, you must do what you can to survive. Explore underwater and on land as you hunt for supplies to craft the tools, weapons, and shelter you’ll need to stay alive. Stay sharp: hunger, thirst, and exposure conspire against you as you brave treacherous elements and the dangerous creatures of the Pacific.’’ The game was initially released on January 23 in 2015 for PC and was released on console on April 21st, 2020.
The last game is mostly known by all gamers, Battlefield V | PS4. Released back on November 20th, 2018. The game is based on World War II and is a prequel of Battlefield 1, which was based on World War I. ‘’ Immerse yourself in mankind’s greatest conflict with Battlefield ™ V as the series returns to its roots with an unprecedented portrayal of World War II. Lead your squad to victory in all-new multiplayer experiences like the multi-map Grand Operations. Fight battles worldwide in the single-player War Stories campaign. Build your company with custom soldiers, weapons, and vehicles, then take them on a journey through Tides of War as you expand your arsenal. This is the most intense, realistic, and innovative Battlefield yet.’’ In the year of the release the game was nominated for the Game Critics Award and won in the category Best Online Multiplayer.
Last month we told you all games had something in common. This month the connection is a bit harder to see, but it’s there! Maybe we should have mentioned it earlier, cause the connection between all games is that they are in one way or another all early. First of all, Wreckfest. The game was to be released on the first of June for the PS5. Becoming already availably makes it an early access game. Second of all, as mentioned earlier Stranded Deep was released on 2015 for PC, what made it an early access game just for another console. The last one could be a bit tricky. Rumours and speculations about Battlefield 6 becoming announced sooner or later are swerving around the internet. What if Battlefield V is an heads up for Battlefield six, some early gameplay before the new game would be announced. Of course, it is all speculations, but we got your six. Stay tuned for more news and updates in the gaming industry!
