PlayStation has some great new games waiting for us. One thing for sure, we are jealous on the PlayStation 5 possessors. PlayStation Plus revealed A Plague Tale: Innocence as an exclusive PS Plus game for the PlayStation 5 in July. The other games, which are playable on PlayStation 4, are WWE 2K Battlegrounds and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
Call of Duty Black Ops 4
It was clear where Activision had his focus when releasing Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Since a long time, the Black Ops series didn’t include a single-story line. The game was fully focused on the online experience. However, for us the eyecatcher where the three zombie maps. When Black Ops 4 was released back in 2018, Black Ops Zombies had it’s 10-year anniversary. Activision celebrated it by having the most maps ever released at the beginning of the game. Mostly such amount om maps where accessible by DLC’s.
The three maps are:
Blood of the dead. This third map is based on the popular Mob of the Dead. The three original characters from the previous Zombies storyline find themselves in a mystical dimension of Alcatraz.
IX. IX is set in ancient Rome, where our four main characters end up in an arena where ritual sacrifices are made.
Voyage of Despair. In Voyage of Despair you find yourself aboard a monumental ship, the RMS Titanic. Our four main characters try to unravel the truth behind the fate of the ship’s doomed passengers.
WWE 2K Battlegrounds
‘’The world of WWE is your playing field. Experience brand new, over-the-top showdowns and experience the arcade-style action by taking on the role of your favourite WWE Superstars and Legends. Go into battle in bizarre environments from around the world.’’

The game was released on 18-9-2020 and the expectations of the game shouldn’t be too high. The game is mostly fun on a very casual level for a short amount of time. Or if you’ve got a group of friends to play with, but don’t think you’ll be playing the game for hours, that’s absolutely not the case here.
A Plague Tale: Innocence
A Plague Tale: Innocence is a third-person adventure game that effortlessly combines action and stealth.
‘’Follow the heartbreaking, grim story of young Amicia and her little brother Hugo. Experience the darkest period in history together. Amicia and Hugo are chased by soldiers of the Inquisition and surrounded by unstoppable rats. During this adventure they get to know each other and they will have to trust each other.’’
‘’They face a tough time, but they continue to fight to discover their purpose in this brutal, unforgiving world.’’
Gameplay
‘’There is little or no combat in it: Amicia, as a fourteen-year-old girl, naturally has no chance against the soldiers and violent men who attack her and her brother, and therefore has to use make use of her common sense to outwit them. She has a sling at her disposal that can catapult rocks, but it mainly serves to hit inanimate objects so that the two can progress in small environmental puzzles, or so that she can create a distraction while sneaking. But in locations where they encounter both soldiers and rats, such as on a battlefield full of dead where those rotten animals suddenly crawl to the surface, she can also use her sling to ensure that her attackers – and not she – are eaten by the rat plague.’’
The game gets a sequel later in 2022 where Amicia is in her twenties and her little brother Hugo is around 14 years old. It’s a great way to prepare yourself for the sequel by playing this amazing game!
All together PlayStation has some great games available in July. One better then the other. However, that can’t take away the fun. We definitely recommend playing A Plague Tale: Innocence if you’ve the PS5. On the other hand, the two other games are definitely worth trying when you’re with friends.
