Shoot, race and action based. PlayStation Plus starts strong
The trend of last year continuous at with new PlayStation Plus games in 2022. Where we in the beginning of last year noticed there was a trend in the releases of the games, having a theme for example, faded away as quickly as it came. Luckily for us, new PlayStation Plus titles will remain the same quality as we’re used to. This new year starts with some shoot, race and action based games.
Deep Rock Galactic
Deep Rock Galactic is developed by Ghost Ship Games and published by Coffee Stain Publishing. The game is a cooperative first-person shooter where players work together. During the game players explore cave system with a focus on PvE (player versus environment) combat. This can be done by playing solo or in multiplayer mode. In May 2020 the game was released on Xbox and PC and will make its debut on the PlayStation consoles on the 4th of January.
DiRT 5
DiRT 5 is a racing game focused on off road races. Disciplines like ice racing, rallycross, offroad-buggy’s and more can be found in the game. All those disciplines can be found in multiple events. Those events are all set on different locations such as Brazil, China, New York and other places. A fun fact about the game is that the dynamic weather and seasons of the year have influence on the races and events. Meaning it is only possible during the winter months to compete in ice races in New York. DiRT5 can be played in a solo (career) mode or as a multiplayer. The offline feature offers split screen up to four players. In the career mode you compete on a series of championships while getting advice from your team. The advice is a great addition in our opinion, making it more realistic and worthy to try the campaign.
Persona 5 Strikers
Persona 5 Strikers is published by Sega and developed by Omega Force and P-studio. ‘’The game is a crossover between Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors franchise and Atlus’ 2016 role-playing game Persona 5 and is set half a year after the events of the original Persona 5. It follows Joker and the rest of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts as they investigate a series of mysterious events involving people across Japan.’’
