PlayStation Plus games August

What to expect in August

August, the month where most people go on vacations and take some time to relax. What’s better to relax then some new free games when you’re subscribed to PlayStation Plus. We’ve got three promising games ready for you and you can start downloading them already! The games will be available till the 3rd of September. So if you don’t want to download them yet, put them in your library to be sure you can download them later on!

Hunter Arena Legends

Hunter’s Arena is a 30 player PvP & PvE combat-based Battle Royale set in the ancient Aisa. Survive and become the deadliest Hunter in the world of Hunter’s Arena!

Throw yourself into extreme hand-to-hand combat where you have to keep improving your skills to emerge as the lone winner. With a dynamic combat system that allows you to counter and counter-attack, aerial combinations and martial arts, Hunter’s Arena: Legends offers you intense combat experiences.

Combining RPG, multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) and battle royale elements, you can develop your own unique style and strategies to beat the competition. Hunter’s Arena: Legends features intensive 1v1 matches and game modes for solo and trio battle royale.

The game was developed and released by Mantisco back in 2020. It has been the only game the Mantisco developed or released as far as we can discover. Nevertheless, the trailer looks promising and cross is available since the release of the game.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville

Let’s be honest, who isn’t aware of the successful games of Plants vs. Zombies. The game was first introduced on 2009/2010. It didn’t take long before the game became a popular strategic defence game. Multiple games in the series had been released on iPhone, Android, PlayStation and many more consoles. Sometimes there where mobile exclusive offers, sometimes it was the other way around.

The latest PlayStation Plus game of Plants vs. Zombies has been released in October 2019. It is the third episode of the Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare spin off. Publisher Electronic Arts confirmed the development of a new Plants vs. Zombies shooter in May 2019. An alpha testing for the game, which was codenamed “Picnic”, was held in early August. The game was officially announced and released as an early access game on September 4, 2019.

Players who purchased the Founder’s Edition would receive regular content updates until the game’s full launch on October 18, 2019, and exclusive cosmetic items every week until the game’s official release.

The game mostly received good critics and is in our opinion the game of this month. Most people will be able to enjoy the game and have a good time. Even though if you’re unaware of the previous games (which we doubt) you’ll be able to learn quickly how to play the game.

Tennis World Tour 2

Tennis World Tour 2 is a single player tennis game. Just like almost every other sport game like FIFA and NFL, Tennis World Tour 2 has a broad variety of players you can choose from. Including top players like Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Kiki Bertens and more. Every player has their unique skillset and qualities which makes some games harder than others.

The game has different modes. It is possible to play a career, where you decide where you play, what you wear, which sponsors you’ve, your team around you and more. It is also possible to play multiplayer games. Doubles against the AI with a friend together in the living room. Or play online against each other.

Tennis World Tour 2 may have some similarities to the concept of FIFA, the gameplay however is less developed. Sometimes the AI has sloppy and random responses to ball that would be an easy play or on the other hand shoot some unexplainable shots from the most difficult corners. All together the game could be quite fun, but you don’t want to be super serious and set high expectations to enjoy the game.

All games are available till 3rd of September

Like every month all PlayStation Plus games are available for a short period of time. This means that Hunter Arena Legends, Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville and Tennis World Tour 2 won’t be available after the 3rd of September. The games, however, will be downloadable every moment when they are stored in the library. Plants vs Zombies has most of our attention due the accessibility of the game. Next week we’ll start with a similar blog but on a different subject. Stay focused and you’ll see what comes next.
